Mullen Family Christmas 2006
What's this Christmas in July?? Well not really, but I finally got around to putting this video together. It was fun looking back on how tiny the babies all were! (The other humans haven't changed too much).  Anyhow, Merry Christmas. It's fun to celebrate all year long!

The Mullens go to DC!
We returned Monday from a ten day trip to Washington DC. We had such a great time. The weather wasn't too hot since most days we had pretty good cloud cover. (We got rained on twice and realized during the first downpour that our umbrella wouldn't open!) We saw most of the main attractions-- White House, Capitol, National Archives, Smithsonian Museums, War and Presidential Memorials and a few of the lesser known like Mt. Vernon, Embassy Row and the National Postal Museum. One of our highlights was going on a "double date" to see Riverdance at an outdoor amphitheatre -- they make dancing look good. We stayed about an hour outside of the city with one of my college roommates and her husband and had a great time catching up with them and getting to know their kids. All in all it was a great trip. We loved having all day every day to spend together as a family with no work! :)

Reunion Time
Marielle sitting all by herself??? Heidi and Parker
We had a wonderful visit from my friend Heide (Lawerence) Shaw who now lives in Austin. It was great fun catching up and getting to know her two boys, Taylor and Parker.
Taylor's gymnastic "salute" (He knew we would clap on demand with this display)

Marielle's First Baseball Game
Thanks to Exxon we enjoyed a free night out at the ball game. Marielle loved the atmosphere of being outdoors with so many lights and sounds. And likewise the crowd loved her. She lasted until the ninth inning when she fell asleep on Mom's lap. We had a lot of fun eating hot dogs, peanuts, and nachos, doing the wave, singing during the seventh inning stretch and showing off Marielle to Ryan's co-workers. Oh yeah, the Astro's won too.
