Our Little Cast-Away
Everyone kept asking, "so does the cast bother her?" And I would say, "No, she seems to be ok with it." But then Friday night we noticed her cast was loose, so I guess she had been pulling on it. Ryan tried squeezing it back up around her elbow, but the die was cast. (Pun intended, naturally.) Saturday morning I took Marielle with me to the Garden center to pick up some plants. I was pulling her in a wagon and when I glanced back to see how she was faring and her cast was sitting next to her. We called her Dr. to see what we should do and he stopped by to put on a temporary cast (he's in our ward thankfully.) Yesterday we went in to the office to get a new cast, but after the x-rays, Dr. Warnock decided she was healing so well we wouldn't need another hard cast. So we are back to splint and ace bandage, which while it isn't nearly as cute, is way more practical as I can take it on and off for baths. Here she is ringing in the new cast with the old...

Little Marielle, How could you? Take off your cast and be so cute about it! I am glad you are healing well.
Love, Grandma Sycamore
oh, bless her heart. she's so little for the cast. We put a jacket on her for the Easter egg hunt b/c it cooled off and she wasn't a big fan of getting the jacket over the cast.
I'll definitely send you some pics. I'm glad she was able to come...that was a good idea.
I love the family pics tradition. You'll always take them about the same time every year. I can't think of a more beautiful time of year.
She kinda looks like Bethany in this picture.
You're right, she does look like Bethany.
Now reveal yourself Thomas!! What say you, stranger: friend or foe? Or train engine?!?
She's super cute! How are the Mullen's doing anyway?
oh I can't beleive she already has to have a cast, how sad. I am definately not looking forward to broken bones with my boys, but they are already little dare devils...
She's a regular Houdini!
She is so cute and is growing up so quickly. I could hardly believe my eyes when I saw her at the Easter egg hunt. What a beautiful young lady you have.
